This is the "predominant cultivar." This clone grows fast, and you can handle cuttings with bare hands. I cut it to the ground in fall 2008 when the tall pup was a wee bit shorter than the short pup is now (about 8"), and it came back really strong.

These two cuttings fared badly when I brought them out too early this spring. I'm not really impressed with the seedling they came from, anyway. I have one other pup from it that I'll set in the pot when it roots, and it was spared the frost. I tend to doubt that this one will be my favorite genotype, anyway. We'll see.

4 cuttings of the predominant cultivar, taken fall 2007, but where I live it was too cold to root them until spring. They are amazingly hard to kill, and they rooted then and are doing well.

I took B1 as a cutting from "B1" in picture above. B2 came from a seedling that died because I cut it back too far. D'oh! B1 grows fast and has good color. That's all I know.

I bought this one when it was about the size of a grapefruit in 2005. It's about 16" tall. It looked great until I goofed and put it out in harsh sun this spring after being in a dimly lit place all winter. it has recovered some of its color, but it looked way better before. This one is the fastest growing of my four TT's.

All my TT's suffered the same problem when I put them out in bright light this spring. They looked better before. This one is about 10" tall and hasn't grown as fast as I would hope.

I forget the species. I bought it. Interestingly, this one will produce pups underground, and you can detach and root them.

I took a cutting from the T. pachanoi a year and a half ago. I cut down to the base, which would have been alright if the pups already coming up had been bigger. I learned that if the pups aren't pretty big when you do that, it really weakens the plant.
